Addresses with Balance > 10,000 BTC

Balances indicate the number of unique addresses holding at least a certain amount of Bitcoin or equivalent dollar value. For example, ""Balance > 1 BTC" represents the number of addresses with a balance greater than 1 Bitcoin.

In clear: This indicator measures the distribution of Bitcoin among holders, whether small investors or whales (large holders). It tracks the number of addresses holding specific amounts, helping to understand how Bitcoin is distributed across the network.
Why it's important:
  • Market adoption: An increase in the number of addresses with small balances (e.g. > 0.01 BTC) may indicate growing adoption by new users.
  • Investor sentiment: An increase in addresses holding large quantities (e.g. > 1,000 BTC) may signal accumulation by institutional investors and whales.
  • Distribution analysis: Understanding the distribution of balances helps assess the decentralization and overall health of the Bitcoin network.
Tip: Watch for trends in the different categories of balances. A sustained increase in smaller balances may signal mainstream adoption, while a rise in larger balances may indicate that bigger investors are accumulating Bitcoin, which could influence future prices.
